Sanfu Plaster Therapy: Who Needs It, When to Use It

Many people know Sanfu Plasters are beneficial, but few know how to apply them correctly and avoid common mistakes.

To truly experience their therapeutic effects, timing, technique, and lifestyle alignment are key.

Who Should Use Sanfu Plasters?

✔️ People with cold constitution, cold hands and feet
✔️ Individuals who are physically weak due to chronic conditions (e.g. asthma, allergic rhinitis)
✔️ Those with joint pain or irregular menstruation

Not suitable for pregnant women or those with severe skin diseases

How Long Should You Leave It On?

  • Adults: 1 to 2 hours per session
  • Children: 20 to 30 minutes to avoid skin irritation

Can I Shower After Applying?

Please wait at least 2 hours after removing the plaster before taking a shower to avoid irritation or reduced effectiveness.

What to Eat on Application Day?

Avoid "trigger foods" and cold/raw foods, such as:
Beef, seafood, peanuts, leeks, shrimp, etc.
These may interfere with the herbal treatment.

What If Redness or Blisters Occur?

Some individuals may experience mild allergic skin reactions such as burning, redness, or blisters.

If this happens, immediately remove the plaster and treat symptoms accordingly. For relief, you may apply Baoshutang Baofuling Compound Camphor Cream, which contains camphor and menthol to soothe irritation. Seek medical help if symptoms worsen.
